What’s on your 2010 design wish list?

2010: a new year, a new decade and a new attitude to match!  Somehow, the start of yet another twelve months doesn’t feel as daunting as usual after a tangible air of optimism arrived together with popping champagne corks at midnight on the 31st of December 2009.  The country and its colourful inhabitants appear to have shrugged off last year’s negativity and emerged with an attitude of gratitude and the determination to make an impression on the rest of the world.

We take for granted the melting pot of talent we have right here on our doorstep – starting with our many eclectic designers. 

Drawing their inspiration from the essence of Africa and the spirit of Ubuntu, local designers pour their aesthetic flair into everyday items to bring us little bits of character in lots of different ways.  So what’s on your wish list this year, besides world peace and a South African win at the World Cup? 

We have a list of designer suggestions that are infinitely more available – and definitely super stylish!
